Though, it's five years later
A roar can still be heard
Pulsing from each heartbeat
No need to speak a word…

They say our lives must go on
But we look back just the same,
We hold their memory sacred--
We don't have to know their name.

And yes I still am angry…
I still hear the victim's cries-
And see the loss and heartache
Mirrored in each families' eyes…

They took the Tower's steel beams
And smelted them for ships
And when our warriors enter battle
Nine-Eleven's on their lips…

Now, some argue bout the small stuff
Like what Ground Zero should become
But have we forgotten to remember---
We the people, LOST SOMEONE…?
