She chases away the blues
While customers shop each aisle,
A bargain of a checker
With a million dollar smile.
You can't escape her sunshine
Or keep wearing that sad frown,
For she takes a dismal day
And makes it one profound.
I've never seen an instance,
I've never been let down,
When she didn't share her humor
With all who were around.
She's standing at the counter,
Giving you your change,
But giving so much more
The ripples are long-range.
In the Journal of the Living
She'll have a special page,
For the joy she brings each day
There really is no gauge…
There is no way to count,
No special way to measure,
The kingdom of this princess,
The Dollar Store's treasure!
