Miracles of the Mundane

On a solitary moment can hinge such clarity…
That blind and scaly eyes are opened up to see.

Like walking through a garden and picking up a leaf…
Sheer grace in all its beauty, soars beyond belief.

Come touch the crested borders and trace the ebbing fringe,
The leaf held in your fingers becomes an earthly hinge…

A hinge to open pathways, that broaden our worldview,
A hinge of fresh perception, of use in all we do.

Look where the leaf once was… there's yet another prize,
Green miracles of velvet moss are banquets for the eyes…

Let your fingers burrow; embrace Our Maker's earth!
His ears still hear your heartbeat; His love still gives you worth!

This day is so amazing… that once seemed so mundane…
A template for our spirits that whispers Heaven's name!
