The Trappings of the Heart

Most times the things we have,
Outweigh what we do not…
The trappings of the heart
Abandon dreams of Camelot…

In youth, we seek with zeal,
With never tiring ardor,
With age we just seek peace…
For the heart to have a harbor.

But what if after all
The years of lonely pain
And what if after all
Our tears were not in vain?

What if we had found
The love that touched our soul?
What if we had found
The half that made us whole?

Where do we go from there,
Do we simply walk away?
And how do we find the strength,
To watch Camelot decay?
